Mondocelluloid.com's Zombie Walk_1310843436077

562 Media friend and movie buff Logan Crow started a little thing called the Zombie Walk here in Long Beach a few years ago.  What started as a few people dressing up as Zombies and making the walk down 4th Street to a midnight screening of some culty horror flick has turned into a full on Zombie invasion for 2011.   With sights set on breaking a world record (over 15,000 zombies!) and featuring a live performance by a Halloween faves JOHNNY VATOS …AND THE MEMBERS OF OINGO BOINGO, the 2011 Long Beach Zombie Walk needed a website worth of it’s status as one of the must attend Halloween events in Southern California.

In 2008, after being swept up in the wave of protests and rallies following the passage of California’s Proposition 8, Charlie Gage joined long time friend Ian McIntosh to produce and direct his first full length feature documentary INSPIRED: The Voices Against Prop 8 under the banner of Purple Ray Pictures.

In a rush to meet film festival entry deadlines, we jumped in to help Charlie and his team create a website that would not only give the movie an online voice but allow viewers an opportunity to communicate directly with the film makers and activists featured in the film.

We’re happy to say we finished the movie just in time for their first film festival screening!  You can meet Charlie and the great crew behind this movie and film festival screenings around the country this summer!

Animal Rescue Corps - Compassion in Action_1295299800719

Animal Rescue Corps

When a newly formed non-profit, Animal Rescue Corps, called us they had a challenge on their hands.  They needed to build a website with limited funds that would allow them to collect donations, inform people about the work their organization was doing and keep their volunteers up to date about rescues in progress.    We decided that a custom WordPress website would be the best way to accomplish these goals and while the price came in a tad bit over their initial budget, the long term pay off would be that they would have a website that we could easily add features to as their organization and donor base grew.    To add to the challenge they received the great honor of being featured in a magazine article, which meant we had to get their website up and running in record time and during a time of year that we normally take a few days off (Christmas and New Years!).  With the efforts of the entire team, including members of the ARC staff, we are happy to say that we not only were able to complete the project by the target launch date, but were able to add a few extra features just in time for their big launch.

When an experienced fashion industry executive came to us looking for a simple website that would allow him to blog about Denim, we challenged him to let us come up with a concept that would give him all the bells and whistles at a price that wouldn’t break the bank and wouldn’t require months of training to learn how to use.

After a bit of planning we were able to develop a professional, full featured news website geared toward the fashion industry.   With multiple categories options, built in advertising management capabilities, a Featured story slider and video integration, TheDenimGuy.com was up and running within a matter of a few weeks.

We’re happy to report that it only took a couple of months for our Denim Guy to accomplish big things with his new website.  With dedication and some well deserved attention from high end Denim brands and industry publications, the site is officially a success story!

WhatsUpInSealBeach.com

WhatsUpInSealBeach.com is a perfect example of how local news is changing with today’s simplified web technology. A local Seal Beach resident wanted to create a website where he and other members of the community could easily share stories of local interest. With only a small budget, we were able to create a full featured news website that was easily manageable for this team. We even integrated ad support via our own ad serving network to allow for extra income to cover the expense and effort of running a small website.
