WordPress Developer
What: 562 Media is looking to add a contact WordPress developer to our team to help assist on current and upcoming projects. This is a part time contract position to start but may lead to full time position for the right candidate.
Who we’re looking for: Are you a talented, forward-thinking, creative, experienced, detailed, deadline oriented PHP developer with specific WordPress experience? Do you love pushing the limits of current trends and meeting a challenge when presented? Do you love to make standards compliant, usable and what you would consider beautiful pieces of work? Do you take pride in how you optimize code and get excited knowing how many people are effected by the code you create? If so we want to hear from you!
Requirements:
- 3 + years developing websites and web applications
- Expert knowledge of HTML/XHTML, JavaScript, and CSS
- Expertise in developing complete solutions in PHP and MySQL
- Experience with XML
- Experience with AJAX and JavaScript frameworks like JQuery
- Experience with the APIs from the latest social networks like Facebook and Twitter
- Experience with database design and optimizations
- Experience with E Commerce, Pay Pal and Shopping Cart Customization
- Experience with installing, customizing WordPress themes
- Experience creating custom WordPress themes from scratch
- Knowledge of graphic design, including expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator.
Geographic Requirements: While we prefer candidates that are within driving distance to the Long Beach area, we may consider other US geographies for the right candidate. Sorry but we are only interested in individual contract developers at this time and not agencies or design firms.
